  1. How much sun is safe for baby? The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that babies under 6 months be kept out of direct sunlight. If you're headed to the beach, bring an umbrella. Going to the park? Sit in a shaded area or bring a stroller canopy!
  2. Can baby wear sunscreen? If you can't get to the shade, you can apply a minimal amount of sunscreen (at least SPF 15) to small areas like baby's face and back of hands according to the AAP.
