Pumping

Question:

How often do you recommend pumping? Baby is almost 1month and I am producing 400-600ml via the pump daily. I also breastfeed so I cannot measure that. I am wondering do I need to pump after each nursing? I'm currently nursing every 2-3hrs & on demand. It would be so great to get advice on this & help my supply grow!

Answer:

Marissa,

Thank you for reaching out to Lansinoh. Pumping an additional 400-600ml on top of feeding at the breast is definitely a good amount, especially with a one month old baby. If you would like to increase your supply you can pump after each feeding session, but at this point I think you are definitely producing enough to establish a good freezer stash while still breastfeeding your baby. All the best!
