I have had brest pumps in the past but my problem is that I have too much milk. What do you recommend?
Breast pumps are tools to use for when you and your baby are apart and I can speak to our double electric pumps, like the newest one to our line, the Signature Pro Double Electric Pump, that it is durable for daily use for moms to ensure they can keep up their milk supply and have expressed breastmilk available for when mom and baby are apart. It is important to use a pump that is going to be helpful in your situation. If you will only be gone a short while or you don't need to pump as often that a manual pump could be the right pump for you. If you will be pumping on a daily basis or away from your baby for more than one nursing session then an electric pump would be a good choice for you. Without knowing if you were using a manual or an electric pump, it could be that you could have benefitted from an electric pump. It could be that your previous pumps were not powerful enough to draw out all of your milk and I would recommend getting a pump -whether manual or electric-that is made by a brand that knows the specifics of breastfeeding, breastmilk production, and pumping to ensure that you are using a high quality product. Please let us know if you have other questions.
