Hot Milk and MSB


I have recently learned that I have excess lipase in my breast milk, which means that I have to scald my pumped breast milk, bringing it to 180 degrees before storing it. Is it safe to pour the hot scalded milk into a Lansinoh bag, or should I cool it first?


It is best to cool it first before putting it into the bag and before putting that bag in the fridge or freezer to store it.
