Breastfeeding

Question:

When pumping how much milk do we give the baby

Answer:

It depends on the age and weight of your baby how much you would give baby in a feeding.  There is a calculator on this website that is helpful by using the amount baby is nursing and can give an indication of how much pumped milk baby would get:  http://kellymom.com/bf/pumpingmoms/pumping/milkcalc/    Until you know how much baby will take, store  your milk in smaller increments (2-3 oz) so you dont waste any of the milk if baby does not drink all of it.  Milk that has been used in a bottle can only be used within an hour and cant be refrozen so its ideal to use smaller amounts and give more if needed.
