I have a blood blister or milk bleb on my nipple, not sure which one. I have had issues with it before and after pumping today it was bleeding and open. I'm not sure what to do as far as keeping it clean and my pumping stuff. Do I need to sterilize in between or is it ok to just rinse and store in fridge as usual without sterilizing? Thanks.
While you don't need to sterilize your parts after each pumping session, I would recommend washing them with warm soapy water and then rinsing and allowing to air dry between sessions. This will help reduce the possibility of you getting and infection in the blister. Also you can our HPA® Lanolin on the blister prior to pumping. This will help reduce any friction in the area and keep it from getting further agitated.
All the best,
