When will my breasts go back to their pre-pregnancy size?

Question:

I ebf for 13 months. It has been 4 months since we stopped nursing. When should I expect my breasts to go back to their pre-pregnancy size? Also can nursing cause inverted nipples?

Answer:

Brittany, because every woman is different there isn't a specific amount of time and sometimes women will find that their breasts will continue to be larger or smaller than they were before pregnancy. Inverted nipples isn't something that is usually caused by breastfeeding, in fact, breastfeeding can often draw out inverted nipples though they may return to their pre-breastfeeding state when you are no longer nursing.  Unless they are causing you pain inverted nipples aren't anything to worry about. If you are experiencing issues with it, you may want to consult your physician. All the best!
