Pumping Enough When Back at Work

Any tips on pumping enough to supply my son while at work and still be able to feed him from the breast after work would be great. I return to work soon and am worried ill have to give him more formula than I'd like.

Alisa, You can start pumping now in order to build a stockpile for when you go back to work. Try adding a couple pumping sessions a day after he feeds. Particularly after your first feed in the morning when your breasts are especially full. Once you return to work, try to pump on the same schedule that your baby feeds. This way your body will be stimulated as close as possible to the way your baby feeds. Also many moms find that looking at a picture or video of their baby while pumping helps express more effectively. I hope this helps!
