I pump 2-3 times a day at work. My right breast always feels full after I pump and is beginning to hurt. I am only getting about 2 ounces each time. Only 1 ounce from the left.

First I would recommend making sure that your flanges are fitting you properly. Moms nipples can change in size and shape as the breastfeed and pump, so even if they fit ok before you may need a different size now. When your nipple is pulled into the tunnel part of the flange, there should be open airspace around the entire nipple. As your nipple moves in and out it should not touch or rub along the sides of the tunnel. If you notice any touching or rubbing this would indicate that you need a larger flange. Also only your nipple and possibly a small amount of areola should be pulled into the flange. If a large portion of your areola is being pulled into the flange this would indicate that you need a smaller flange. If neither of these seem to be the issue I would recommend visiting a local Lactation Consultant they can evaluate a pumping session and help you resolve any issues.

All the best,
