How do I get my daughter to take a bottle from dad?

Question:

My daughter was taking a 4 oz bottle of breast milk at 7 weeks she has not gotten many bottles and now if dad offers her one she will only take 1oz and just plays with it. How do I get her to take more so I have a little bit of freedom? What bottles are best? How much should a 12 week old take?

Answer:

Jann, Each baby is different, but here is a link that can help you calculate the amount of milk baby will need for a feeding.

Many times getting a breastfeed baby to take a bottle can be difficult. The Lansinoh mOmma Bottle with NaturalWave Nipple is specially designed for breastfed babies. It allows them to use the same motions they use at the breast. This way they don't have to learn something new to feed from a bottle and they able to easily return to the breast. Best of luck!
