Building up Milk Supply

I was wondering the best way to express more milk. My left breast I can only pump 1 oz while my right I can some times get 4-5 oz. Even when the baby nurses she gets frustrated because she is not getting enough milk and I have to switch over within a few minutes. How can I get my left breast to even out a bit more?

I would recommend starting baby on the left side at each feeding. Having baby feed at the breast is the best way to stimulate your milk supply. After baby finishes a feeding you can try pumping the left breast as well. This will make sure that the breast is completely empty and further stimulate your body to make more milk on that side. However many moms experience this same issue of having more supply on one side, and other than feeling a little lopsided, it shouldn't affect your baby.
