I am not keeping up with my son’s demand

I only can get a small amount (like an ounce or less) from each side during pumping. Lil' one eats 6 to 8 ounces a feeding. I'm not keeping up with his demand. I've tried everything over the counter pills and extra pump sessions and still nothing. Please help.

Keeping up with baby's needs \while pumping can be difficult. The first thing I would suggest is making sure that your flanges are fitting you properly. When your nipples are pulled into the tunnel part of the flange there should be open airspace all around your nipple, and they shouldn't touch or rub along the sides as they move in and out. Having properly fitted flanges can definitely affect the amount of milk you are able to express while pumping.

Other than that they things you have mentioned are really the best options for increasing supply. Also if you are able to add any feedings at the breast that can really help as the baby is generally the best at increasing supply. Even if you aren't feeding at the breast skin to skin contact with baby releases hormones that can help with supply as well.
